1856 “Chak-Mongkut-Pratao” Silver Salung(1/4b.), weighs 3.82gms., uniface obverse countermarked “Chak” ontop, “Mongkut” at bottom and “Pratao” left and right. It was one of the earliest official Siamese flat coin, attempting to replace Pod-Duang by using marks from the Pod Duang and produced by Hand-Hammering Method. The 4 marks are fully struck, very attractive original lustre preservation. The best preserved piece we've ever handled. SIAMCOIN mentioned as MInt State condition. Only about 5 pcs were recorded in private collection. Historical and excessively rare coin in fabulous unsurplus condition. UNC.(1) SIAMCOIN MS62
